A major part of our internship at Atlas High Performance Centre will be:
- Working as part of a multidisciplinary team. Atlas HPC is home to staff of varying background from sports performance to athletic rehab & physiotherapy. Engaging with these different backgrounds will help form a better picture of what drives high performance.
- Accumulating real coaching hours. One major problem we see is that future coaches leave education with lots of knowledge but very little hands on coaching experience. Throughout your time working with us we'll give you exposure to a variety of different sports. You'll also have the ability to build your own client base too.
- Developing coaching systems alongside full time staff members. Having the opportunity to be involved in the decision making process of how our business operates will be a key component. We understand here that everyone brings their own experience to the table. At Atlas HPC, you will have the opportunity to have your voice heard in some of the key decision that could affect the future running of the organisation.
- All successful interns will gain full access to our education hub. This includes webinars & educational courses from some of the best coaches in the sports performance industry. It is through this that we'll deliver on the S&C side of things.
- The time commitment for each oncoming intern will be decided from the outset. It will be dependent on coaching hours available, time of year and suitability of the intern for certain training groups.
- Successful applicants will need their own transport as some coaching hours may be pitchside and away from the gym.
