Over the past few years I’ve been lucky enough to work with both the general population and aspiring athletes of all ages. Two things all of them have in common is that at some point they will experience joint/muscle pain and the second is that a lot of them struggle with stabilising certain joints during activity. If a joint isn’t stable then it’s going to be inefficient during movement or it opens you up to increased injury risk, something we’d all like to avoid.
This programme is designed with the following people in mind:
- Average joe’s (or Jane’s) that would like to improve movement ability and the strength of their muscles surrounding their joints.
- For people looking to start a short exercise routine which doesn’t require a lot of equipment or a long learning period.
- Athletes who are regularly involved in training who continue to experience pain in certain locations due to muscle weakness or a heavy training workload.
- Runners looking to implement some low level strength training into their routine or to use it as a cool down or as a warm up.
If you're one of these people, then this is for you.
WHAT'S INCLUDED?
This programme isn't meant to be done for any specific amount of time, nor can you 'finish it' as such. It's designed as a low level maintenance sessions (15-20 minutes) to assist in staying healthy and reducing the painful effects of high training loads while simultaneously strengthening the key areas/joints of the body. From my experience, these tend to be the most overused during sport/exercise of any kind while also being the most neglected in any sort of a resistance training programme. Let this be the start of staying healthy for longer and also building real strength around the hips, knees and ankles to allow you to train better, for longer and to have more enjoyment from it.
